Help Crop Stories Support Farmworkers and their Families
Crop Stories is announcing its first partnership with an ag-related nonprofit that will raise funds for causes that align with our mission.
Starting on Giving Tuesday, 2017, and running through the end of the year, Crop Stories will donate 50% of sales of our back issue bundles to NC Field, a North Carolina-based organization dedicated to improving the lives of farmworkers and their families. Their motto is Growing Justice from the Ground Up and we think the mission lines up with the types of stories we tell in our literary farm journal.
A back issue bundle is a discounted collection of our Blueberry, Winter Squash, and Radish issues.
One of NC FIELD’s projects, Poder Juvenil Campesino, which translates as Rural Youth Power, will be featured in our upcoming Greens issue by writer Victoria Bouloubasis.
As a labor of love, Crop Stories doesn’t have much money, but we want to put the small amount of power and platform we do have to give back to the communities from which we derive our stories. We won't stop with this drive. Look for us to partner with a rotating cast of like-minded organizations in the future.
Here's How To Help
- Order our Back Issue Bundle.
- Order one for yourself or for a loved one (it's a perfect gift and we can ship directly to the intended). Help out Crop Stories and add a copy of our latest Sweet Potatoes issue to the package.
- Share on social. We'll be bombarding our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with this plan. Please follow us and share and help spread the word.
Thank you for your continued support!
